I’m sorry but for a website to be named Unclutterer and then include a store where you can buy more books from Amazon just is not cool. But I’ll have to give them some credit – the articles aren’t too bad.

Glad you like our posts, sorry that you feel the Unclutterer store is hypocritical. The truth is, though, that we’re not an anti-consumer blog. We’re not in favor of asceticism. We believe in smart consumerism and mindful buying. The books and products we list in our store are more of a “things we like” list. It’s a place for people to learn about the books our staff have chosen to read and would suggest to others. We often talk in posts about the library and book swaps and other ways to obtain the same books beside Amazon. But, if someone chooses to have a copy of the book, it’s cool as long as they read it and then make sure it doesn’t become clutter in their home. If that makes sense …
